Ford Scholarships Announced for North Texas Students Who Want to Go to College

High school seniors in North Texas can apply for Ford-sponsored scholarships that award up to $2,000 for their first year of college.

With the goal of assisting and encouraging high school seniors residing in Austin, Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio to pursue a degree in higher education, the Ford Driving Dreams Scholarship program sponsored by the Ford Motor Company Fund and administered by the LULAC National Educational Service Centers (LNESC) invite students to apply before March 31, 2022.

Who is eligible for Ford Scholarship 2022? Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for a scholarship: - Must be a high school senior graduating in the spring of 2021. - You must be a student planning to pursue full-time study leading to a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university in the country. - You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent.

What is needed to apply for the Ford Scholarship 2022? Applicants must submit the following online by March 31, 2022: 

 
- Transcript of their high school classes
 
- “What Drivers Your Dreams” Essay (500 – 1000 words, 12 point font, double spaced, PDF)
 
- A letter of recommendation addressed to the Ford Driving Dreams Scholarship Selection Committee
 
- Curriculum vitae (resume)
