The Kansas City metro population consists of approximately 2.1 million people, with a minority population of about mostly Black and Hispanic. 28% of the entire regional population is represented by youth. KC boasts being the home of barbecue, having the most barbecue restaurants (per capita) in the nation, as well as known for producing some of the best jazz music in the country.

Developing Lifelong Learners

LNESC Kansas City has served mid-western states since 1977, primarily serving urban core at-risk students in Kansas and Missouri. LNESC KC is dedicated to helping young adults and their families plan for, gain admission to, and finance a post-high school education regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or immigration status. LNESC KC is inclusive for all students, with former staff and alumni of LNESC Kansas becoming local and national leaders.

Technology Center Computer Lab

The LNESC KC Technology Center has recently been updated from desktop computers to laptop computers. The technology center is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. or by appointment.
