Through the efforts of 16 education service centers across the U.S., including Puerto Rico, and a host of national programs, we proudly celebrate the positive impact on the future leaders of our communities.
Testimonials
"Being a part of the LULAC National Educational Service Centers has given me many opportunities that I wouldn’t have gotten if I did not become involved with the center. LNESC has helped me tremendously, with many different needs. I get help with homework afterschool, and I also learned about technology and computers in two different classes that I joined. During the pandemic I knew I could count on LNESC to help and they provided my family with food boxes to help us get through the hard times when my mom could not go to work. I love just knowing that they are there for me if I need any help. All these things are amazing but my favorite part of LNESC was visiting Puerto Rico. It was the first time I went to the ocean and it was amazing." - Angel Melchor, Senior at Highland High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico
"The burden of student loans is quite daunting and the financial aid your organization provides lessons the doubts of whether or not the value of higher education is outweighed by the financial risk. Thanks to your organization’s help, I was able to reduce the amount of loans I took out for my first semester of undergraduate, easing the financial burden on both me and my family. I wish your organization and the students it supports the best of luck moving forward.” – George Elliot, Schreiner University, Scholarship Recipient
"LNESC has been with me through my high school years, college years, and even serving as my first employer, then helping me get my first full-time job with the school district I graduated from...I appreciate how the LNESC staff prepared me when I was in unfamiliar phases of life." - Batula Hussein, University of Missouri, College Advisor
“LNESC is making a real difference in our communities. Their commitment to their mission is truly commendable. I am constantly inspired by the impact that they are able to achieve. Their efforts have made tangible impact on me and many others. I'm honored to work alongside each and every one of them. Thank you for your hard work and dedication."- David Ndayishimuye, Upward Bound Program Alumni, LNESC Kansas City
“The scholarship helped alleviate the financial burden of living on campus my freshman year - it was such a transformative experience and to this day, I look back at that time and am so grateful for all the support I had and how enjoyable that time was. This was also one of the largest scholarships I earned that year, and it made me feel like my journey was valid and that I was worth investing in. It made me work harder knowing I had people that believed in me and wanted to see me succeed.” - Michelle Tran, University of Houston, Scholarship Recipient
