LNESC Response to COVID-19
Dear students, families, and friends,
The LNESC Team wishes everyone to be healthy and safe during the public health issue surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).
LULAC National Educational Service Centers (LNESC) has been closely monitoring and evaluating the recent developments on the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) and its impact on the health and safety of our students, staff and the communities we serve.
LNESC has responded to the threat and has taken steps to protect student participants and field staff at LNESC locations and program sites, which includes the implementation of internal measures to conform to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations to prevent the spread of the virus.
All LNESC locations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico have discontinued in-person services and have communicated directly with student participants and parents with updates and developments for their local community. LNESC locations are assessing how best to provide educational services to students and their families. Here is a list of LNESC locations with contact information for any inquiries.
The LNESC National Office and LNESC locations will continue to explore innovative and creative approaches to delivering quality educational programming, including the utilization of enhanced communications through emerging technology. (LNESC) has been evaluating the impact of the COVID-19 health crisis and its’ effect on our ability to provide quality educational and leadership programming. Partnership opportunities to address these issues can be reviewed in the Needs Assessment produced by LNESC.
The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) launched the LULAC@Home website to provide critical information and resources during the COVID-19 pandemic.
