Colorado Springs Upward Bound provides services at Harrison High School that include supplemental academic instruction in mathematics, science, composition, literature, and foreign languages. Other services include tutoring, mentoring, cultural enrichment, and academic advising. The program also helps improve the financial and economic literacy of students. The program consists of two components; the first is the academic year component where participants attend Saturday Academies as well as after-school tutoring for two hours. The second, the summer component, consists of six weeks of instruction and educational/cultural field trips. Pikes Peak Community College is the host institution for the summer component.
