How did you benefit from receiving the LNSF Scholarship?

As a first-generation college student hailing from a low-income household, I am delighted to share how the LNESC scholarship has opened up a world of opportunities for me. Prior to receiving this award, I was faced with the daunting task of purchasing textbooks and a laptop to access course materials, which can often prove to be quite costly. We are all aware that college is an expensive affair, and the added expenses can quickly escalate to hundreds of dollars. However, thanks to the LNESC scholarship, I have been able to procure the necessary resources for my academic pursuits without incurring an insurmountable financial burden.

Not only has this scholarship eased my financial stress, but it has also enabled me to fully dedicate myself to my academic endeavors. I can focus on learning and growing as a student without the constant worry of financial constraints weighing me down. The value of such a scholarship cannot be overstated, and I am grateful for the support that has enabled me to reach new heights.

What advice would you give to other students who are considering applying for scholarships?

I would not let procrastination, or the fear of rejection deter you from applying for these opportunities. I do believe that you miss 100% of the shots that you do not take! College is not only a place of learning and growth but also a significant investment in your future. The ultimate goal of applying for scholarships is to see it as an opportunity to invest in yourself and a means of seeking out available resources. Scholarships not only help you secure an affordable education, but also pave the way for a prosperous future.
